When it rains, it pours, but now everything is just flooding.

Just a day removed from the news that the Steelers lost Cam Heyward for around two months to surgery, Adam Schefter is reporting that Pittsburgh will be without wide receiver Diontae Johnson for “a few weeks” as he deals with a hamstring injury.

Johnson left in the second half of Pittsburgh’s 30-7 loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. During a catch and run, Johnson stumbled down to the field on a tackle and immediately reached for the back of his leg.

He looked to be in quite a bit of pain, and stayed down on the field for multiple minutes while the training staff attended to him.

Johnson soon after went to the locker room and did not return to the game.

Without Johnson, the Steelers are going to have to rely on a wideout trio consisting of George Pickens, Allen Robinson, and Calvin Austin for the foreseeable future, including Monday night when the Steelers host the Cleveland Browns.

The loss of one of the best route runners in the entire National Football League will undoubtedly be felt in the Steelers lineup, and for a pass game that already looked awful in Week 1, they’ve now lost their top target.
