The offseason in the National Hockey League is well underway. The draft is less than a week out, the trade market is already piping hot, and free agency is just around the corner.

Unfortunately for the chaos agents out there, this year’s pending free agency class is rather thin. However, there are still plenty of names worth taking a look at. And someone who fits a lot of what general manager Kyle Dubas is looking for is forward Eeli Tolvanen.

Tolvanen was a first-round selection (30th overall) by the Nashville Predators back in 2017. A Finnish forward with lots of skill, scouts raved about his accuracy and shot.

He signed to play on a one-year deal in the KHL following his draft. After an incredible year in Russia as a teenager, where he scored 19 goals and 17 assists (36 points) in 49 games, as well six goals and an assist in 11 playoff matches.
