The Jacksonville Jaguars fell to it.

The Cleveland Browns fell to it.

The Buffalo Bills fell to it.

And now, we have yet another victim to the Terrible Towel curse. Another team that the curse inflicted itself upon after their fans disrespected Myron Cope’s creation.

The Baltimore Ravens have been eliminated from the postseason, falling 17-10 to the Kansas City Chiefs, who are back on their way to the Super Bowl.

And, in typical fashion, videos once again circulated of Ravens fans messing with Pittsburgh’s Terrible Towel.

This comes from back in Week 18, when the Steelers met the Ravens in Baltimore in the regular season finale.

The Ravens, who were playing a decent amount of backups because they had already locked up the 1-seed, lost to the Steelers 17-10.

The Steelers had also beat the Ravens by a score of 17-10 in Week 5 back in Pittsburgh.

Though the curse took longer to activate this time around, it still did arrive, taking the Ravens out in the AFC Championship game.

In each case the curse has struck, it has uniquely come to either embarrass or utterly devastate the team it hunts down.

For the Jaguars, the curse turned a 6-2 team into a 9-8 team, tumbling them out of playoff contention, which was killed in Week 18 with a bad upset loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

It was a horrific choke job by the Jags, who were at one point seen as locks to win their division.

For the Browns, it resulted in a 45-14 thrashing at the hands of the Houston Texans. The blowout loss also saw the magic of Joe Flacco finally run out, as he threw two different pick sixes in the game.

That loss in the Wild Card round also saw the heralded Browns defense give up 31 points on their own, a rarity for them.

For the Bills, it resulted in another “wide right” incident, when Bills kicker Tyler Bass missed a field goal that would have tied the game and sent it to overtime.

Buffalo, who beat the Steelers in the Wild Card round as well, saw their playoff run end just a week later, and maybe their greatest chance at a Super Bowl ring come crashing down.

Now, Baltimore’s hopes come crashing down as well. The Ravens struggled all day, and several unnecessary penalties severely harmed their chances at a win.

Baltimore was held to just 10 points in the loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. KC was one of only two teams in the NFL to hold the Ravens to 10 points or less. The other team? The Pittsburgh Steelers, who did it twice.

Myron Cope remains undefeated this season.
