Spring training is getting pretty close. Pitchers and catchers for the Pirates report on February 12th, and it won’t be long until we are seeing both old and new faces playing in Grapefruit League games down in Florida.
Here in Pittsburgh, it is a little hard to get as psyched as we should be about a club that features NL Rookie of the Year Paul Skenes leading the charge. A slow and largely unimpressive offseason has put a damper on the enthusiasm on the 2025 Pirates, but there are some players that I personally am very excited for this season.
Obviously Skenes, as well as guys like Jared Jones, Oneil Cruz, and Bryan Reynolds will dominate the coverage on this team, so I decided to dive into some of the more under the radar players for this list.
